About Rum near Innsbruck

Rum is a market town and since 1987 part of the Greater Innsbruck district within the Austrian State of the Tyrol. It is situated at an altitude of approx. 622m above sea level, there are 8.700 inhabitants and it covers an area of 856 hectares.
 
It lies on the southern slopes of the Nordkette mountain range and lies on the road to Hall in Tirol. Its western boundary adjoins Innsbruck. Rum is one of the MARTHA village (Mühlau, Arzl, Rum, Thaur and Absam) and a perfect starting point for various walks in the Alpenpark Karwendel.
 
So Rum can offer the peace and tranquility of a village, but then it is only a few minutes by bus or car from Innsbruck, the Tyrolean capital.
