The "JAKOBSWEG" trail in Rum

Not just a place for pilgrims to linger and refresh themselves

Coming from Hall there are two trails via Thaur to Rum. Rum's St. Georg parish church is already visible from a distance. The Jacobsweg  trail leads along the Römerstraße and crosses the Thaur fields directly to the Römer park or via Thaur and the St.Georg parish church to the secondary school in Rum, where the  trails meet. In the Römer park a fountain and benches welcome you for refreshment and relaxation. The trail continues along past the Pest chapel and follows the signs to a crossroads. On the other side of the road, the  trail continues past the Rum secondary school and two wayside shrines in the direction of Innsbruck. Calvarienberg, the next objective on the Jakobsweg  trail can already be seen in the distance. Guest houses and public houses offer rest or an overnight stay.
